OVERVIEW
The six day medium difficult trek starts from Genekha in the south of Thimphu and offers a genuine wilderness across the rugged terrain and alpine meadows.
The trail passes through pine, oak forests which also have various flora and fauna and also rhododendrons.
On a clear day, we can have a fabulous view of the mountains such as Kanchenjunga, Mount Jhomolhari and Jichu Drake. The routes also cover several lakes which are considered sacred as per the legends of the Bhutanese. Although the campsite is situated at about 4200 meters, one can explore the journey further up at about 4700 meters to get maximum views of the Himalayan ranges.
