OVERVIEW
It is a relatively short, moderate and one of the most popular treks leading from Paro to Thimphu or vice versa crossing the chain of mountains that separates the two valleys. The route passes through sparsely populated places, along the ridges, lakes and can see spectacular rhododendron forests which bloom in the month of May.
The best time for this trek is from March – May and September – November. The trek route passes at over 3000 metres and at some stretches have 4210 metres before finally descending to Thimphu valley.
